Communities In Schools champions the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school, and prepare for life.  They are holding a “Great Legs Contest” to raise  money for our community projects. 1 dollar = 1 vote.  There is no limit on the number of votes from each voter!!  The contestant with the most votes wins!  The money will directly benefit kids in our community.  Battalion Chief Stacie Zercher has the “Bucket” to collect the votes. Now to make it interesting, Chief Herber stated if he receives 1,000 votes (dollars), he will wear a KILT to work on Friday, Mar 30th.  The winner will be determined at the “Rock ‘n Roll For Kids” event on Saturday, Mar 31st.  This is also a benefit dinner to raise money for the cause, and the cost is $50 per plate.   Contact Battalion Chief Stacie Zercher for more information.
